On another note…

I wanted to add one more thing to my post above. Nardi interviewed a clinical psychologist, Dr. Jane Kingston who reported “that problems with video games seem to be triggered by existing problems”. The problematic use of video games could stem from these problems when people use it to replace something in their lives. Narti notes that a child could be “addicted” to the game because of problems at home, problems with parents who ignore the child, and even though WOW may not be a very negative activity, it could definitely lead to problems in real life similar to alcohol abuse, gambling, drugs, etc.
