An article that I want to contribute to my research study on video games and disabilities is “Effects of Improvement on Selective Attention: Developing Appropriate Somatosensory Video Game Interventions for Institutional-Dwelling Elderly with Disabilities.” Although this study was completed in Taiwan, I am interested to see how video games has had an international impact on those who are disabled, which in this case targets the elderly. The argument that the researchers were trying to support was that the sensory stimulations that video games provide, such as music and sound, is helpful in those who are elderly and disabled.
